Archispirostreptus gigas (auch als Riesenschnurfüßer bezeichnet) ist ein Tausendfüßer aus der Familie der Spirostreptidae.

Er ist einer der größten Vertreter der Tausendfüßer. Er erreicht eine Länge von 38,5 cm und einen Umfang von 67 mm. Die Beinzahl liegt bei 256. Der Tausendfüßer ist schwarz, häufig mit einer mahagonifarbenen oder dunkelroten Tönung.

Archispirostreptus gigas kommt in Süd- und Ostafrika sowie auf der arabischen Halbinsel vor. Sein typischer Lebensraum sind im Flachland gelegene Wälder. Seine Lebenserwartung liegt bei 5–7 Jahren. Bei Gefahr versprüht der Tausendfüßer ein Sekret und rollt sich ein.
